Dr. Jay Gorstein

Dr. Gorstein completed his undergraduate degree at Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia and earned his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He began his career up north as a general surgery resident at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, New York. He then worked simultaneously as a medical historian/lab technician at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, New York and as an emergency medical technician (EMT) at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York. 

Next, Dr. Gorstein was a family practice resident at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York and achieved Family Practice Board Certification. He also has experience as a mobile paramedical examiner. In 2017, he joined ProHEALTH Urgent Care in Lake Success, New York, where he remained until joining MD Now.

Dr. Gorstein’s professional affiliations include the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Medical Association.
