Urgent Care Association of America Accreditation Program recognizes that MD Now Urgent Care centers continue to meet the established standards for providing quality care at the highest level.

West Palm Beach, Fla. – (March 16, 2018) – MD Now Urgent Care, the leading and fastest growing urgent care company in Florida, announced today that it has received renewed accreditation from the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA), the national accreditation and certification program for the urgent care industry. The renewed accreditation confirms that MD Now continues to meet high standards and criteria for quality of patient care, safety, and scope of services.

The UCAOA represents the largest membership of urgent care centers and multi-disciplinary individuals working with and for the urgent care industry in the United States. MD Now received certification from the association in 2009, and its first accreditation in 2014. In fact, MD Now Urgent Care was the first, and remains one of the few, Florida urgent care companies to receive UCAOA accreditation.

Accreditation means that MD Now has met or exceeded UCAOA standards, centered on key operational and clinical care matters, including patient safety, patient care processes, quality improvement, facility governance and human resources, as well as patient privacy, rights and responsibilities. Criteria are measured through on-site reviews, as well as additional, independent third-party criteria such as patient and staff interviews.

UCAOA established its accreditation program with the objective of instilling a greater focus on the uniqueness of the urgent care industry. The program demonstrates the urgent care industry’s commitment to offering a systematic and consistent approach to the assessment of the scope of care, level of quality and patient safety standards across the nation’s variety of urgent care centers.

“There is tremendous merit in evaluating the industry and striving for higher quality and standards of care,” explains Dr. Nate Newman, president of the UCAOA Board of Directors. “The accreditation process solidifies and builds upon our commitment to delivering the highest quality care whenever a patient visits one of our certified and accredited centers.”

“Our renewed accreditation confirms our continued commitment to providing the highest quality, comprehensive urgent care services to our patients here in Florida,” says Michael Holton CEO of MD Now Urgent Care. “Receiving this accreditation from the UCAOA is truly an honor and a direct result of our commitment to providing the safest and highest quality patient experience in urgent care.

In addition to certification and renewed accreditation by the UCAOA, all MD Now Urgent Care centers are also recognized by the state of Florida AHCA as Licensed Urgent Care Facilities, and are accredited by the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine.
