Many Florida employers and government agencies check state and national databases for criminal history information to determine the eligibility of employees, volunteers, and medical students. This is a typical part of a basic background check.
To facilitate this type of testing, MD Now offers digital fingerprinting, an easier, more accurate, and dependable form of fingerprinting. Unlike traditional ink fingerprinting, which offers only 85% to 90% accuracy, MD Now’s digital fingerprinting provides 100% accurate results. This level of accuracy is made possible by state-of-the-art, electronic fingerprint scanning technology that gives employers a more complete picture of an employee’s criminal background.
How to Prepare for Your Visit
Designed for convenience, electronic fingerprinting technology provides fast, sanitary, exceptional-quality pictures in roughly 15 to 20 minutes.
To ensure that the process moves quickly, you will need to bring the following items to the MD Now Urgent Care Center for the procedure:
- The Originating Agency Identification number (ORI), identifying the agency or department requesting the background check.
- A valid, government-issued ID with photo.
- An acceptable form of payment.
Fingerprints will be submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the FBI. These agencies will then provide detailed information on an individual’s background.
