Protect your workplace from the spread of coronavirus with convenient COVID-19 testing. MD Now offers diagnostic testing for active infection and antibody testing for possible immunity.
We have partnered with one of the nation’s top CLIA-certified labs to provide antibody and viral (PCR) testing for your employees. Our providers can help determine through antibody testing which of your employees may have immunity to the virus and which remain at-risk.
Additionally, we can provide viral (PCR) testing to determine an active infection. If you determine follow-up testing is needed to clear your employees to return to work, we can do that too.
Two kinds of tests are available for COVID-19: a viral (PCR) test to identify an active infection and a serology test to detect antibodies and assumed immunity. MD Now offers both tests at our many Florida locations.
The viral (PCR) test is for employees who think they may have been exposed to the virus in the last 14 days, have symptoms or who have tested positive and have not subsequently tested negative.
Antibody testing is available for your employees to determine who may have immunity and who remains at risk.
The antibody test is $199 and the rt-PCR viral test used to diagnose an active infection of COVID-19 is $199. If you do pay for the testing, we will be able to share the results directly with you.
Yes, the viral (PCR) test for infection will allow MD Now to provide clearance for your employee to return to work. Employers will need to determine their specific return-to-work protocols.
Even though your employee may have tested positive for antibodies, you should continue to exercise universal precautions such as social distancing, frequent hand washing, wearing of a mask or face cloth, and follow CDC guideline recommendations. COVID-19 is a new infection, and it is unclear if a positive antibody definitively offers immunity.
Simply instruct your employees to visit MDNOW.com to find out what test makes the most sense for them and where to get tested. You may be able to submit claims through your insurance if you decide to pay, but you would have to discuss this with your insurer.
If your employees use insurance to get tested, we will not be able to directly share the results with you until a release of information form is completed by your employee.
The first step is to contact our corporate accounts team at 888.MDNOW.911. We will send you an easy-to-use screening tool and an authorization form for you to share with your employees. Your employees will use the screening tool to determine which test they need. For those needing viral (PCR) tests, the employee will call 888-MDNOW-911 or visit our website to check in for a COVID-19 evaluation. For antibody testing, employees can simply walk into one of our clinics offering antibody testing when convenient.
When your employee arrives at the clinic, they show their ID and provide the completed authorization form. We will call your employee with their results. As the employer, if you pay for the test, you will also receive the results and will ultimately decide the next steps to take.
Online check-ins are a great way to let us know you are on your way. We will do our best to see you at your check in time, but patients with more emergent needs will require immediate treatment.
